How to start your awesome Wordpress Blog
If you are not a whiz at using FTP software to upload your WordPress blog to your server and if you don’t know what I am talking about, then read how you can easily get your WordPress blog up and running in no time at all without knowing all that tech stuff.

First register your domain name at Godaddy.com

Then get your hosting at Hostgater.com
You can use a different hosting provider if you prefer but when choosing a hosting provider make sure it has Linex. Don’t ask me why just trust me. 
- Next point your name servers to your hosting provider.
How to do this can be found in Godaddy. Godaddy is very good at explaining how to do things. You can even call Godaddy to have a live person talk you through it. It’s a great service.
After you have your domain name, hosting provider and you have your domain name pointing to your hosting provider , you are now ready to install your wordpress blog to your hosting and get it live on the internet.
Installing WordPress to your Hosting Provider
- Login to your Hosting providers Cpanel
- Find the Fantastico Icon
- Click on Fantastico
- Look for and click the WordPress installation
- Fantastico will install WordPress to your hosting for you
- Congratulations ! Your blog is live on the Internet
How to Configure your WordPress blog
After using Fantastico to install your WordPress blog on your hosting provider , you need to configure your blog to make it search engine friendly.
In your WordPress dash board do the following:
1. Activate the Akismet plug in to block spam post.
To do so you have to get your Api key number by signing up for an account at WordPress.com After you get your Api key number be sure and save it in a notepad, you might need it in the future.
2. Clear your blog roll links that comes with WordPress.
They all link to WordPress so you don’t need them unless your blog is about blogging.
3. Set up your profile.
4. Set up your perma links. Delet the default perma link, copy and paste this perma link struture with no spaces:
/%postname%.html
It’s to help with the search engines.
5. In your WordPress dash board delete the default ping address then copy and past your ping list.
You can find the ping list by doing a Google seach for WordPress ping list. Delete the default ping address
.
6. In the general tab enter www. in-front of your URL.
Again to help with search engines.
After doing all that you will be ready to choose your free theme for your WordPress blog.
Later you can change your theme for a better looking paid theme if you want to.
After you do these steps your good to go to start posting awesome articles in your blog to attract the people that you need to grow your business.

After you get your blog up and you are posting articles you should do some research as you go along to learn how to improve your blogging experience and get better at it to get the results that you need.
